Professional Series The Professional Series is our most popular line of commercial quality burglary protection safes designed specifically for private homes and apartments. A combination of commercial level burglary security features and substantial weight characteristics make this product an appropriate choice for the protection of valuables. They were designed primarily for the protection of jewelry, watches, coin and other collections, cash, etc. For the protection of paper documents, this series provides a minimum of one hour of fire protection more than adquate protection for the majority of private homes. (Model PRO6 3016-12 shown above with optional interior)
Door Swing We maintain an inventory of models hinged on the right and left side so you can comfortably select what is needed to meet your particular requirements. It's best to find a location where the door of the safe can open at least 135 to 180 degrees. This comes into play especially when safes are fitted internally with jewelry and watch drawers. We are prepared to help you determine the best and most accessible location for your safe. Locking The most popular lock selected by our clients is a UL listed commercial quality digital lock (battery powered). This lock enables the user to set their own personal 6-digit push button code while allowing them to open the safe within 3-5 seconds. Closing the door and turning the handle automatically locks the safe. This lock helps make your safe become an integral part of your daily routine, so valuables can be protected at all times. Optional Locks We offer the following alternative locking arrangements.
Locks are protected from attack by a drill resistant hardened steel plate, with further response-protection offered by a spring loaded mechanical re-locking device that secures the boltwork in the locked position should the lock be severely attacked. Keypad and Dial Finishes Digital keypads are available in the following finishes: brushed aluminum, black, brass or chrome plated. Biometric keypads: brass or chrome plated. Combination dials: Black, brushed aluminum, satin nickel and brass plated. Weight The weight of your safe plays an important role when protecting valuables in the home. For private home and ground level installations, we strongly recommend that you consider a safe that weighs at least 500-750 lbs. (The majority of the safes we install residentially weigh from 600-1,300 lbs.) In addition to the security features offered by our safes, the heavier a safe is, the less likely it will be able to be removed (by burglars) from the premises. As a rule, safes weighing less than 750 lbs. should be anchored to the floor. Finishes This series is available with our standard neutral finish, but can be painted to match or complement your color theme. Customize Your Interior We offer a complete selection of jewelry and watch inserts, drawers, drawer finishes and pulls, to fulfill most storage and organizational requirements. Since each client has specific needs, we customize the interior to meet their particular requirements. Interiors are available in a variety of wood and painted finishes. A wide selection of jewelry and watch inserts are available with standard layouts (custom configurations is our specialty). We also offer custom height drawers, pull-out shelves and compartments for the storage of cash, coin and other collections, watchwinders, artwork, paper documents, etc. Internal lighting is also available (electrical connection required). Specifications
1The maximum number of drawers you can have in your safe was calculated based on the height of our shortest drawer, while allowing an open cubby space at the top of the safe, approximately 4" in height. We have found that the top drawer should be located approximately 4" down from the inside top of the safe so that one can see all items stored within the drawer when it is pulled out. If this is not of concern to you, we can add a maximum of 3 drawers to the interior of your safe. Please note that the total number of drawers in your safe will probably be less, since you will most likely select at least one or more taller drawers to store larger pieces of jewelry and/or watches. 2Model PRO 1212 will not accept our standard drawers and inserts. Custom sized drawers and inserts can be fabricated to fit into this model. 3Drawers for Style 1612T inserts can be oriented horizontally which will offer 4" of additional space behind the drawers where a secret storage area can be fabricated to house other items, such as cash, etc. If a secret compartment is not desired, the drawers can be recessed deeper into the safe, which will permit us to mount a storage area on the rear of the door of the safe, for items such as gold and other chains, etc. Drawers for Style 1612T inserts can be re-oriented (turned 90 degrees) to fit deep into the safe, which will provide the opportunity to create a (wider) column compartment to house and organize other items such as larger and bulkier items, documents, etc. See photos and drawings of these custom layouts in the Custom Interiors section. 4Style 1412T & 1612T are standard inserts that we stock. Style 1616T, 2016T & 2616T are custom inserts. See drawings of popular layouts for you to consider. Note that we can customize the layouts of any style insert to meet your particular requirements.
Access Dimensions and Door Projections
1These dimensions represent the clear entry into the safe past the boltwork chamber. In this particular series, should the safe be supplied empty internally, yet fitted with adjustable standards for shelving, please reduce the access width by 1/4" to allow for the standards. (Example: model PRO 4820 has a clear access width of approximately 19-3/4") Please note that, if advised at the time of order, we can remove the adjustable standards. 2The clear access width into the safe when the door is open 90 degrees indicates the widest item that can typically fit past the door, into the safe, but this will vary based on the length of the piece as well as if you have additional clearance on the open side to insert the item on an angle. 3This dimension represents the minimum overall width required for the safe plus the projection of the door when opened far enough to provide straight-in insertion of the widest item that can fit into the safe. This dimension will allow us to install a full interior within the safe when already in place and will allow you to completely pull out drawers or open a compartment. 4This dimension represents the minimum overall width required for the safe plus the projection of the door when opened 180 degrees. We recommend that you allow an additional 2-3" of space which will help prevent the door or one's fingers from hitting an object when opened completely. 5This dimension represents the minimum overall depth required for the safe plus the projection of the door when opened 90 degrees. We recommend that you allow at least an additional 2-3" of space which will help prevent the door or one's fingers from hitting an object when opened this far. Since you will be addressing/accessing the safe from the front it's important for you to consider how much additional room you'll need in order to comfortably take items out or put them into the safe.
