Strong Safes
The safes you will find here were designed to "take the competitive edge away from the burglar". That is, we've created a complete selection of burglary protection safes with varying levels of security, one or more which should apply to your particular situation. Actually, we took the 4 levels of commercial burglary protection safes we designed for the jewelry industry, and created scaled-down versions of them for residential use. These safes were maufactured incorporating barrier materials that offer resistance to a burglar's set of tools. From protecting against attacks waged with common handtools, such as sledge hammers, crowbars, wedges, etc., to electro-mechanical tools and even torches. Whether you have $50,000, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, $1,000,000 or more in value, we have "the right safe" for you.
Heavy Safes
The weight of your safe plays an important role when protecting valuables in the home. In addition to the security features offered by our safes, the heavier a safe is, the less likely it will be able to be removed (by burglars) from the premises. As a rule, a safe weighing less than 750 lbs. should be securely anchored to the floor, especially if it's located on a ground level. (The safes we recommend for private home use weigh at least 500 lbs.) Please note that anchoring your safe, especially one weighing less than 750 lbs., is always recommended, wherever it's located.

Diamond Series For those desiring security features found in safes supplied to the diamond trade for the protection of exremely high value. Incorporated within this safe is the torch and drill resistant barrier material required by Lloyds and other insurance agencies to protect their clients' valuable collections. Availability: we are in the midst of finalizing the design of our new models. In the meantime, you can order a safe on a custom basis, to meet your dimensional requirements. Gotham Series We created this line of safes for those requiring a higher level of security than provided by the Professional Series. We added high security features, such as 6-sided armor plating, a specialized glass plate activated relocking system and a 3-way boltwork mechanism, to provide similar protection that is found in the mid-range safes we supply to the jewelry industry. In addition to this, all models are supplied with a high gloss paint finish along with other luxury features, to make this line of safes a beautiful addition to complement the decor found in many homes today. Professional Series This is our most popular apartment and private home model. A step up from the Avenue Series, this product is a streamline version of the basic line of safes supplied to the jewelry industry. Both heavy and strong, the Professional Series provides the additional security (and fire protection) required for placement in the private home environment. Available in 14 standard sizes. Please note that we decided to upgrade the standard Professional design by adding armor protection to the body of the safe. The "PRO6" models will replace the existing "PRO" models over the next few months. The "PRO6" prefix shown before the model number on the attached spec sheet indicates which models have made the switch.
Avenue Series We created this line of safes to answer the burglary protection needs of those residing in high-rise apartment buildings. Constructed of thick solid steel plates with a heavily reinforced frame (along with additional commercial quality security features), makes it an exceptionally formidable safe. Compact and stremline in design, models fit conveniently into closets, alcoves and other locations where space is limited. Available in 10 standard sizes. Custom sizes available.

Where Should My Safe Be Placed? When determining the appropriate location for your safe, you must first analyze how often you need to access the safe. If the safe has to be accessed on a regular (or daily) basis, consider the locations in your home that you will go to at a moment's notice. If it's "out of the way", you'll never use the safe as intended, and then items you would like to access will either remain inside the safe, or worse yet, left out, unprotected. Unfortunately, many of us know what can happen to valuables left unattended.
When it comes to jewelry and watches, many people want them to be immediately accessible, so the safe should be easy to get to. Therefore, the safe should be located in a convenient room or closet...yet not buried behind a lot of clothing or doors, which can make accessing the safe an uncomfortable task. Keep in mind that what you want to do is condition yourself to use the safe as your jewelry box, where everything that's valuable or important is to be organized and protected...at all times.
Safes containing items that don't have to be accessed on a regular basis are usually located away from the living area of the home, in a place that's still relatively easy to get to. Oftentimes, clients will buy a large and heavy burglary protection safe that's placed in the basement (below ground level, requiring that we transport the safe down stairs to locate it). Then, they'll put a modest sized safe for their jewelry and/or watches, upstairs, near the dressing area. In this way, they address and satisfy both needs.
Places Not to Put Your Safe. We recommend that the following locations NOT be used for the location of your safe: a child's closet, guest coat closet, garage, as well as any closet or room where there are utilities that may need to be accessed by outside contractors, etc.
Will the Safe Fall Through the Floor? Even though many are quite heavy, we usually transport to and locate safes (weighing from 500-1,500 lbs.) on upper floors of homes. FYI, the majority of well built homes have floors that can easily and safely support heavy safes. We are prepared to review this, if necessary, with your architect, builder or contractor.
Complete Coordination with Architects, Designers and Contractors. When dealing with new homes or renovations, we often interface with these groups in order to help identify the best location and setup for the safe, taking into account which way the door swings as well as making sure the door of the safe can open wide enough to allow the drawers to be pulled open completely. We often interface with millwork designers (and review drawings) to coordinate the design of the cabinetry with the placement and operation of the safe, helping make sure the door of the safe can open without damaging the wood finishes.
In addition, safes are often placed off the ground, on top of a steel base (something we can supply) or wood platform (usually prepared by others). The reason for this is because many clients do not want to have to bend down to access their safe on a regular basis, so we take into account the height of our clients to assure the safe will be at the appropriate height. We also review the location of the top drawer inside the safe to help make sure it will be easy to see into.
