Mixing Vault Systems  Since each application is unique, there are times when one system by itself will not fit into the space or will not work from an operational point of view.  When this occurred in the past, we supplied a combination of systems to fit the need.  For example, when a Class 2 lightweight vault was selected by the client, the 9-5/8+” step up into the vault was too high for the client to install a long enough ramp, so we supplied a Hercvlite floor for this vault, resulting in a 4+” step up into the vault.  In another situation where a Class 1 concrete vault was specified, pipes below the ceiling were extremely low so we installed a Class 1 Hercvlite floor and roof to reduce the overall height of the vault by 5”, which allowed the internal height of the vault to be tall enough to accommodate the installation of the vault door.
