Depository safes can provide one or more of the following benefits:

Hold-up Protection  Employees can deposit money or other items into a safe without having the ability to open the door of the safe.
Hold-up Prevention  Proper signage on one's premises alerts would-be robbers that they will not have success at this location.
Maintain a Minimum Amount of Money in Cash Registers at All Times  Periodic collection of cash during operating hours and depositing into a safe nearby enables cashiers and managers to reduce the risk of high losses due to hold-ups as well as internal shrinkage.

A Note About Low Cost Depository Safes  The typical depository safe outfitted with a rotary hopper or front load drop on the outside of the safe was not designed to provide after-hours burglary protection!!!  These safes are relatively easy to break open with common handtools so therefore should never be relied upon to protect money that one cannot afford to lose. 

For the overnight protection of money one cannot afford to lose, if a depository safe is the only solution, then one should consider purchasing a strong and heavy burglary protection safe that has an internal rotary or front load hopper (or drop chute) leading into a receiving compartment within the safe.  We offer many solutions for such situations.
