Professional SeriesThe Professional Series is our most popular line of commercial quality burglary protection safes. A combination of commercial level burglary security features and substantial weight characteristics make this product an appropriate choice for the protection of cash and other valuable items. For the protection of paper documents, this series provides a minimum of one hour of fire protection more than adquate protection for the majority of businesses. (Model PRO1814DL shown to the right.) 14 Standard Sizes. Offered in fourteen different sizes, there should be a model to fulfill your storage and dimensional requirements. Many are sleek in dimension which enable them to fit conveniently into closets, alcoves and other locations with limited available space. Door Swing. We maintain an inventory of models hinged on the right and left side so you can comfortably select what is needed to meet your particular requirements. It's always best to find a location where the door of the safe can open at least 135 to 180 degrees. Locking. The most popular lock selected by our clients is a UL listed commercial quality digital lock (battery powered). This lock enables the user to set their own personal 6-digit push button code while allowing them to open the safe within 3-5 seconds. Closing the door and turning the handle automatically locks the safe. This lock helps make your safe become an integral part of your daily routine, so valuables can be protected at all times. Optional Locks. We offer the following alternative locking arrangements.
Locks are protected from attack by a drill resistant hardened steel plate, with further response-protection offered by a spring loaded mechanical re-locking device that secures the boltwork in the locked position should the lock be severely attacked. Weight. The weight of your safe plays an important role when protecting valuables. For ground level installations, we strongly recommend that you consider a safe that weighs at least 500-750 lbs. (The majority of the safes we install residentially weigh from 600-1,300 lbs.) In addition to the security features offered by our safes, the heavier a safe is, the less likely it will be able to be removed (by burglars) from the premises. As a rule, safes weighing less than 750 lbs. should be anchored to the floor. Finishes. This series is available with our standard neutral finish. Customize Your Interior. Safes are supplied with an appropriate number of adjustable shelves, but can be customized to meet your storage and access requirements. Specifications
1OD (overall depth) includes the handle and hinge projections. Access Dimensions and Door Projections
1These dimensions represent the clear entry into the safe past the boltwork chamber. In this particular series, should the safe be supplied empty internally, yet fitted with adjustable standards for shelving, please reduce the access width by 1/4" to allow for the standards. (Example; model PRO 4820 has a clear access width of approximately 19-3/4") Please note that, if advised at the time of order, we can remove the adjustable standards. 2The clear access width into the safe when the door is open 90 degrees indicates the widest item that can typically fit past the door, into the safe, but this will vary based on the length of the piece as well as if you have additional clearance on the open side to insert the item on an angle. 3This dimension represents the minimum overall width required for the safe plus the projection of the door when opened far enough to provide straight-in insertion of the widest item that can fit into the safe. This dimension will allow us to install a full interior within the safe when already in place and will allow you to completely pull out drawers or open a compartment. 4This dimension represents the minimum overall width required for the safe plus the projection of the door when opened 180 degrees. We recommend that you allow an additional 2-3" of space which will help prevent the door or one's fingers from hitting an object when opened completely. 5This dimension represents the minimum overall depth required for the safe plus the projection of the door when opened 90 degrees. We recommend that you allow at least an additional 2-3" of space which will help prevent the door or one's fingers from hitting an object when opened this far. Since you will be addressing/accessing the safe from the front it's important for you to consider how much additional room you'll need in order to comfortably take items out or put them into the safe.
